This network drive is a piece of junk. I have had it for just a few months. Now it will only stay running for just a few minutes. This is my second Buffalo drive. The first drive I had one of two drives fail after only a few months. I wish the first one had failed a little sooner because I would have never bought the second one. I’m was using them for backups. Not a very good track record. I’m going back to using external USB drives. I have not contacted tech support because I have had to spend so much of my time moving all the backup files to the USB drives.
Avoid Buffalo network drives.

I might have given this better than 1 star had it not been DOA. Either the second drive failed or the controller card is failty. Now to see what Buffalo/Amazon can do for a replacement and how quickly.

Am currently returning the second unit as both the first unit and second unit had one of the hard drives crash within 24 hours of setup. Setup was relatively easy, however.

Great easy & fast UI. Unpacked & setup took minutes, and all of the computers in the network is able to start saving. Memeo backup is a plus.

Had numerous issues with the device. First folders keep disappearing then there are buffering issues while streaming to a DLNA device. Support is one of the worst ever. I have requested for an RMA and its been 15 days and they are yet to ship the replacement. Please stay away !
Update 1:
The RMA Device that was sent as a replacement had a Fan Failure out of the Box. After talking to the agent for a different device , i was promised a call back within 24hours. Its 48hours now and iam still waiting to hear from Buffalo. The product has impressive features but fails to deliver on quality. After all what good is a device if if doesnt work ! I stand by my earlier review , the product is of very poor quality and customer support is one of the worst.
